The Australian KPMG Future of HR: Embracing Bold Change survey results are out after surveying 1,200 senior HR executives across 64 nations.

The results revealed an interesting insight into what senior HR staff see as the future direction of their industry. An encouraging 72% of respondents believe management see them as ‘a core value driver.’ And no wonder, it seems HR has a lot of work to do in shaping the future of organisations.

The survey identified four key areas HR will help their organisation stay relevant and sustainable as:

  • emphasising a culture for change
  • embracing data and analytics capabilities
  • focusing on employee experience
  • enabling cohesion across functions

Interestingly, 77% of respondents believe the HR function needs transforming, 76% said it’s becoming more strategic and 79% believe the skills of the workforce need updating.
